Hi, Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to 'wordview' which can look at ms excel spreadsheets? I think star office can. It is free (as in beer), so it would be worth a try. It can read MS-WORD documents great. I am not sure if it is included with SuSE or not, grep the ARCHIVES file on the first CD-ROM for it, if not it can be downloaded at: http://www.staroffice.com http://www.sun.com Jack ----- Original Message ----- From: Francesco <fgs@epulse.net> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2000 3:55 AM Subject: [SLE] excel

Yes, StarOffice can read (and write) in excel format. Of course, it isn't perfect. It's on the SuSE 6.3 CD under pay/so_en.
