[opensuse] IMAP folders Unread message count?
Hi, Using Thunderbird 13.0.1 on OpenSuse 11.2 with it connecting to a local dovecot IMAP store with over 250 folders and sub-folders for a single user aka me. I would like to find out how many unread emails are there in the folders and sub-folders. I have Googled for a Dovecot manual for the CLI command but have been unsuccessful as my Google-fu seems to have been affected by the low sun spot number. Anyone help? I owe a HP 650 notebook, and could not reach the net with opensuse 13.1. Today I started up a newly installed 3.12.6 kernel, and could make internet connection. I suggest software- development to patch the standard kernel. Wait. What you did is called "thread hijack", and is a breach of netiquette. You hit reply on a post about "IMAP folders Unread message count?", deleted the subject, deleted the content, and added new ones. Still, we can see that your post still figures as a reply to the other post. Don't be lazy, start a brand new post, add the subject, content, and write the address. Don't hijack other people posts, it creates a mess. Please :-) -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. It might be that dovecot has a feature for this, but I don't know if IMAP does any more than the OS keeps 1 number, somewhere, of unused disk bytes. I.e. I think it is kept on a folder-by-folder basis for IMAP, but for a summary -- maybe try the dovecot list? (but I wouldn't hold my breath based on needing such a response)... You might check out Tbird24 (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=917886). The bug complains because unread counts are "rolled-up" to parent folders in TB24, but not before. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
