help with Personal Firewall?
Hi all, Have SuSE 8.0 installed and have installed the EDonkey software to do some file sharing. I'm green, so bear with me.... I remember when I installed SuSE that I opted for the Personal Firewall. But now I can't do the file sharing thing without some modifications to the firewall. I can't figure out how to modify it. Heck I can't even figure out how to tell if it is actually running or not. My EDonkey error message says my port 4663 is not reachable. Can someone help me with how to adjust the firewall? The personalfirewall closes down all ports, and you can't modify it. You need to install the more flexible SuSEfirewall2, then configure it to accept port 4663. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
