The new network monitor/applet program picks up all availabe networks and allows me to choose which one to use (if more than one are around, as there apparently are in my neighborhood).
Do you know what this is called? Is it available for 9.2? I'd love to have a program in 9.2 that changes when I am at work, home, or school automatically. It can be a pain in the ass to have to open up the terminal and do a su, iwconfig, yadda yadda every time I go from one place to another. I use wlassistant with SuSE 9.2 - it scans for available networks and automates the iwconfig, etc., calls. You can get it at http://kde-apps.org. Buddy Coffey Advanced Electromagnetics

I have to apologize. As far as I can tell, it's just called "Network Selector" in my SuSE menu. I may very well be the same thing the other guy said he was using. Jack
