[opensuse] seamonkey 2.49.4 plugin path
Hello: I have installed seamonkey 2.49.4 in openSUSE Leap 42.2 x86_64 (64 bit) under /usr/local/seamonkey-2.49.4. Unfortunately it can't find any plugin. The plugins are installed or have links in /usr/lib64/browser-plugins: ls -l /usr/lib64/browser-plugins total 16160 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 16547552 Nov 28 2017 libflashplayer.so lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 44 Jun 11 2017 libnpjp2.so -> /usr/java/jre1.8.0_131/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 51 Jun 11 2017 npwrapper.so -> ../../lib/nspluginwrapper/x86_64/linux/npwrapper.so Other possible plugin directories are linked to /usr/lib64/browser-plugins: /usr/lib/browser-plugins -> /usr/lib64/browser-plugins /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins -> ../browser-plugins/ /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins -> ../browser-plugins/ What is the system-wide plugin directory path for seamonkey 2.49.4? I looked into it and discovered that the installed seamonkey version was 32-bit version (how could it run without any problem?). The seamonkey download page (http://seamonkey-project.org/) doesn't mention that it's a 32-bit version installer. Only if you go to Other Systems & Languages it is indicated that Linux x86 32-bit only. The 64-bit version is under Contributed builds (other platforms) close to the end of the page. Not very intuitive. Anyway, the 64-bit version finds the installed (64-bit) plugins as expected.
