That's borderline humorous! hehe I'd walk down to the office and camp out....... sheesh! B=)
FWIW, Amazon is pre-seling it for $53.99 and free Super Saver shipping (probably only in the US). On Wednesday 28 September 2005 5:36 pm, James Knott wrote:

South Africa :-) Luckily there are other ways to get it locally. It just takes a little longer. Hans

Shipping from Novell to Africa. Novell's free shipping offer is not applicable if you are in Africa. Albert -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.344 / Virus Database: 267.11.8/114 - Release Date: 2005/09/28

I can't even place the order! After entering all the details correctly I get a message "No error message found. (Error message 20002065-0)". I've contacted the Novell Customer Service who sent me some suggestions which I followed, told them so, tried again (and again and again ad nauseum) still get the same crap. And no further response from Novell. To say that I am pissed off would be an understatement. If the figures you show above are correct then the whole thing is a scam by Novell. The offer specifically states that there are NO 'shipping costs' to be incurred by the purchaser - all one pays is $59.95 if the order is placed by (eob) 30 September. Cheers. -- Don't argue with an idiot, people may not see the difference.

There are several apps included with the retail version that aren't in the download. http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16015.html Also, I have ordered direct from SuSE in the past. I'll have to see what happens this time.

I guess you are from Africa :) I wrote a nasty letter to Novell. They came back and said they will reimburse me for the shipping but they did not fix it on the website and their sales support want an order placed before they will rectify it. I'm not going to have R 720 go off my credit card just that they can reimburse me for it (they won't reimburse me for the bank fees). Leading Edge (http://www.ledge.co.za) will sell SuSE 10 at R 640 (incl VAT) (About $95). They expect their stock to arrive mid October. When I ordered SuSE 9.1 from them I paid R 45 (about $7) shipping and received it the next day. That is still less than $165.90. Contact Michelle on +27 11 656 0360 if you are interested. Shipping to anywhere in the world is free except to Africa. That is if you order before the end of today. If you are in Africa you need to place the order, pay the $105.95 shipping and then write a nasty email to Novell about false advertising to get a refund. Surprisingly Novell knows about this but they are not fixing their website. At the end of the day it will be easier for me (living in South Africa) to wait for mid October and purchase it from a local supplier for about $95. The offer was made by Novell USA, Novell Africa (in Morningside, Johannesburg, South Africa) has no idea that the offer exists. Albert -- No virus found in this outgoing message. It was the scale of the beast that I was worried about. Brits still try to be exclude all others by quoting dimensions which no one else understands. And driving on the wrong side of the road. And so causing accidents. I've never been in a yellow taxi. . .

I don't know too many real live brits, but the ones I see on TV seem to be using metric measurements to a very high degree. I do know a large quantity of Americans though, and they all use Imperial measurements, so it seems that while the Empire still stands, it's shifted over a bit :)
And driving on the wrong side of the road. And so causing accidents.
This is true. But they're not quite as insane as the Swedes used to be in the 60s and before, when they drove on the wrong side of the road with left hand steering. The passenger seat used to be called the death seat, because the driver (on the left) would try to overtake basically blind, and the passenger seat would be the part of the car that took the hit.
But they're not quite as insane as the Swedes
Surely north americans must be more insane than Swedes on all counts. They all use crashintoshes don't they? Where I live, in Spain, 60% of the population is Norwegian. And they sit outside in the sun all day. Are norwegians Swedes?

Nope. I don't agree. Carrier Pigeon is not a good way to ship. You can't purchase 10.0 anywhere outside USA. Unless you use Amazon. And they won't ship to countries they have never heard of. It's just so much hassle and extra cost it just isn't worth it anymore. Novell don't make any money from it anyway so why should they make it easy for you to buy it? Just wait for the ftp. Or use the rather excellent 10.0 you can download now. For free. But what do you need so urgently from 10.0 that isn't available in say, 9.3? Sorry. But Patrick's replies tend to inspire me;-) Steve.

How can I purchase if I live in Brazil?
?? Carrier Pigeon ??
ROFL. Ah, yes, Patrick........ Cheers. -- Don't argue with an idiot, people may not see the difference.
