[SERVER]Can an SSL certificate be moved from one server to another?
Howdy, As I said in my last post, I'm trying to move an SSL site from a RedHat box to a SuSE box. I have verified that the problem is cause by me trying to move the server.key and server.crt file from one to another. When I try to start up Apache with those server.* files in the httpd.conf, it fails to start, but just now I generated my own set and it works quite fine with the news ones. However our old ones are signed by VeriSign and the new ones of course are not, and they make browsers pop up that silly warning box. So we've can't actually use the ones I just generated. So my Q is, is there anyway to move the server.key file from one server to another? Because I can't use the old .crt with the new .key, and it's the old .key that Apache chokes over. Any help, or even confirmation that I'm going to have to get new certs made, would be greatly appreciated.
