[opensuse] Looking for a CRM package - that can print customer history
I am desperately looking for a CRM package that can print anything close to this (customer with service history) ? Note: For some dumb reason, most of the mainstream CRM's - DON'T have a print function (not even to PDF) Thanks, Duaine --------------------------- Name: Kilo, Kathy (Charles, Dr) ***** 44 miles ***** Addr1: 38 Countryside Lane CSZ: St. Louis, MO 63131 Phone: (C-Kathy) 1-636-734-5557 (H) 314-966-3050 (W) 314-434-6500 Email: kathy@kkilo.com (or) kathy.kilo-peterson.l8j8@statefarm.com Make: Mason & Hamlin - Ampico Model: RA S/N: 36211 (1927) Dir: Merge onto I-270 W.......................................... 12.7 mi Merge onto I-64 E/US-40 E/US-61 S via EXIT 12A-B............ 1.9 mi Take EXIT 27 toward Spoede Rd............................... 0.3 mi Enter next roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto S Forty Dr. 0.1 mi Turn right onto S Spoede Rd................................. 0.1 mi Turn right onto Clayton Rd.................................. 0.3 mi Turn left onto N Geyer Rd................................... 0.9 mi Turn right onto Countryside Ln.............................. 0.4 mi Turn left to stay on Countryside Ln......................... 0.1 mi Turn right to stay on Countryside Ln........................ 0.1 mi Total Travel Estimate: 34 minutes / 21.51 miles Text: 06/19/12: Bottom roll problems again; play/repeat switch acting up; play/reroll chain off and partially wrapped around bottom gear Total 3.5 hrs 05/09/12: Roll does not rewind - pull off top spool; bottom spool problems Found bottom spool leaking air, again, to continuously try and turn off. Applied LOTS of grease to the shaft and finally stopped. Also, found a loose hose to the Ampico switch, once connected, Ampico expressions started working again. Tried reroll and replay many times seems to be fixed again. N/C Bought $25 Spanish roll. Sending invoice soon. 04/09/12: Roll does not rewind - pull off top spool 03/19/12: Bottom spool problems - left as Auto Reroll 01/30/12: Rolls stopped after 2 rolls. Found the large roll slready on, not properly set on the right side flange and roll spindle - roll was underneath the roll spindle. Really need the 3/8" elbows so the drawer can be pushed in. 01/2?/12: Coustomer closed the drawer and the hoses became disconnected. Put a little thin film of CA on the nipple and reattached the hoses. 01/20/12: Install rebuilt box pump; lubed left end of the bottom spool to keep from dumping into reroll; started to test with test roll - checked on the first test and found that the tubing was different or may be an an Ampico B - so stopeed and buttoned it up. Tempo is still no right - don't know how to get to it. 01/13/12: Tuned, replaced 3 drawer to action hoses 3/8" x 14-1/2"; tried to fix tempo lever - could not find to right place to adjust it. Before doing Ampico test roll - check vacuum at box pump - was not at 30" - box pump needed rebuild. Gave customer the history of the piano. Not invoiced yet. 12/22/11: Check player piano tracking and hoses. Total $85 Tracking seems ok; fixed bottom spool roll shut off (found spool air tube clogged; CA'ed far left hose (view from underneath looking front) Sold rolls - Alpine Storm & Washington Post March. -- Duaine Hechler Piano, Player Piano, Pump Organ Tuning, Servicing& Rebuilding Reed Organ Society Member Florissant, MO 63034 (314) 838-5587 dahechler@att.net www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com -- Home& Business user of Linux - 11 years -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You don't say what you looked at or why each was inadequate. For example, SugarCRM is a popular open source CRM package (appearing a bunch of times on the very first page if I Google "CRM"), popular enough to be called mainstream, and googling " SugarCRM print" produced well over 1.5 million pages. Looking at a few of those pages, it is clear that Sugar CRM does have the ability to both print, print histories, and print to PDF files. The questions I saw asked dealt with how much control one can have over things like the layout of the printout. On seeing so much there, I stopped there as it was clear there's lots available. I haven't used a CRM in years, though, and the last I used one, it was SugarCRM and my use was restricted to doing some custom programming extending it to meet peculiar needs expressed by some colleagues. Also, since it is open source, if you know PHP, you can easily modify how it prints if you don't like it's default behaviour. In case you're wondering, it is supported on Windows and Linux: basically anything that has a web server, PHP interpreter and an RDBMS product such as MySQL. Like MySQL, there is both an open source and a paid version, so you can decide how much or little you want and for what price. You have options. Ted I got it installed and so far I can't see how to print the customers' detail - with - the history.
