Hi, I used Yast to set up a TDSL account because the router was having problems connecting and I wanted to see if it was the router or something else. Got the router problem fixed. However, now Yast believes that I need a DSL connection from T-Online. I deleted the configuration for the eth0 it was talking to, but the DSL settings are fixed to T-Online and I can't find an option to restore the DSL settings to nada. Can someone help with this? Thanks, Nick

Remoe the config file /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-dsl0 -- Stephen Patterson Whom computers would destroy, they must first drive mad.

Thanks Stephen. I had done it. But the problem was that within /etc/sysconfig/network/providers there was a file called dsl-provider0. This was causing Yast to annoyingly bring me right into the T-DSL menu. Attention SUSE: THERE IS NO ESCAPE WITHIN THE T-DSL SETUP TO CHANGE TO A NON T-DSL PROVIDER!!!!! This means that if someone not in Germany ACCIDENTALLY selects that option they have no way to put in non-TDSL settings unless they do the following. Steps To Change From TDSL Selection In DSL Configuration to NON-TDSL provider 1. Remove the file /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-dsl0 2. Remove the file /etc/sysconfig/network/providers/dsl-provider0 Run Yast DSL Configuration and answer NO to the quesiton, Are You Using T-Online as your DSL provider. THANKS!! nick

If your router is doing the DSL connection for you and you are receiving an IP from the DHCP server of the router (or you set a fixed ip) whay do you want to set up DSL with YaST2 -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
