Digital kamera and 8.0
I can not get gphoto2 and gtkam to work with my usb, only seriel, painfull slow. With digikam it even a bigger problem, it crashes. I remember some time ago, there was something called SuSE 7.3 and a little thing called gphoto, and those to thing work. Can someone out ther tell what program I can use my kodak 240 and usb with my new 8.0. (I have deleted gphoto2 and installed gphoto from 7.3, but I do't not how wise that is) Gunnar
http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/swiegra_gphoto.html may be of help, maybe not. Hope it does. Harry G On Thursday May 09 2002 12:39 pm, Gunnar Haaland wrote:

I've got a DC3400 USB working (essentially a DC280 with a zoom). Here's how: 1. Plug the camera in, set to connect and switch on (I get a bleep noise when I do this). 2. Run gtkam. 3. Go to select camera and press the detect button. 4. Save settings. I think that's it. It worked for me. If you have problems you might try running gtkam as root (sux) or changing permissions somewhere, perhaps /dev/usb/dc2xx*, which seems to default to root.root JDL Gunnar Haaland wrote:
