Hi folks,
I was snooping around on ftp.suse.com for an updated GCC and found the
following packages:
cpp-3.3-43.i586.rpm
gcc-3.3-43.i586.rpm
gcc-c++-3.3-43.i586.rpm
libgcc-3.3-43.i586.rpm
libstdc++-3.3-43.i586.rpm
libstdc++-devel-3.3-43.i586.rpm
Anyone has already tried these and can confirm they are working well?
Regards,

Apologies for the threadjack, but I'm trying to compile a kernel and gcc 3.3 is generating errors. I've tried building gcc 2.95.3, but I get errors during the make. Does anybody have any bright ideas about how I can get gcc 2.95.x running?! I'm going round in circles >8-( Cheers, sjb

You should be able to compile gcc with itself (having read the
instructions way to long ago) as long as you have binutils and a few
other dependencies. You should not have to use another C compiler to do
it iirc.
Might be more details in the archives or if you google for it?

It's /pub/people/pthomas/gcc/3.3/8.2-i386. See suse-programming-e for the announcement. Guess who wrote the announcement :))) Philipp -- Philipp Thomas work: pthomas@suse.de Development, SuSE Linux AG private: philipp.thomas@t-link.de
