I saw on some online screenshots that beta 1's default background was a picture of Prague, while its code name was Prague. I don't have the bandwidth to download beta 3, but I'm curious as to whether the default background is a picture of Bangalore, since the code name is Bangalore. If yes, could someone please send a screenshot to me at: samjnaa utt gmail daut com? Thanks. -- (o- Penguin #395953 lives at http://samvit.org //\ subsisting on ancient Indian wisdom ... You also need one called Nuremberg! I just don't know which part is the most pretty to take a picture of. Probably down close to the market square, or perhaps the castle, or even perhaps Fuerth. I'm just not as familiar with that area. I somehow suspect the next will be Provo and RC1 Nuernberg or so ;) Ciao, Marcus

Where is Provo located? And just out of curiosity: Who decides on the names of the beta? I'm the one that decides right now, see also: http://andreasjaeger.blogspot.com/2005/08/codenames-of-100-betas.html If you have some better ideas, let's discuss them here some time. Otherwise we continue with town where contributors to SUSE Linux live (and I'll try to spread it then more over the world). For beta1 and 2 it was a surprise but now that fun has been spoilt ;-) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Continue with the cities of suse developers up till 10.0. For 10.1 Beta's we could decide on other themes. I think it is nice to have them grouped around a theme. Perhaps not really a discussion, but more a voting. Or a contest with each voting after you know the theme. Somethink like the favorite drink of a person. The person who gives the most correct answers when it goes gold wins. Or favorite musiscians/bands/songs of people who have posted in the last week (as it comes out every week anyway). That will make it clear that openSUSE really belonges to the comunity. :-) -- houghi http://www.opensuse.org/index.php/Making_a_DVD_from_CDs

That's why I wanted to use cities of openSUSE developers. I guess we need a voting feature on the wiki ;-) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Allow me to answer in English. It's different in the case that we might put up a picture of your town as noted contributor of openSUSE but not as SUSE developer ;-) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
