I've just installed OpenSUSE 11.0 and one thing I've noticed is that remote desktop connections via XDMCP result in the lock up of the computer trying to access the system. This has occurred with two different computers, running v10.3. Another system running Ubuntu simply won't connect at all! As I often use this, it's a big problem. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have just reinstalled 11.0, using EXT3, instead of Reiser, as someone suggested. Remote desktop via XDMCP still locks up solid, forcing a reboot of the computer attempting remote access. I'd say this is a *MAJOR* bug that makes 11.0 unusable for me. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I installed 11.0 on a 2nd computer and the exact same thing happens. When using XDMCP to log onto a system running 11.0, after entering the login info, the display & keyboard lock up, requiring a reboot. It is possible to ssh in to give the reboot command, so Linux is still running underneath, but the keyboard and display are non-functional. This occurs with 11.0 on two different computers and using two other computers as the remote system. However, if I use a system running 11.0 as the remote, I can log into either 10.3 or 11.0 systems. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
