Okay, I see a SuSE staffer replied to an old query in the SuSE newsgroup about this. Apparently XFree 4.1 had problems with anti-aliasing and QT3, so rather than fixing that problem or telling people to use XFree 4.2 instead, they rebuilt QT3 so noone had anti-aliasing. Bright. Real bright. Take away anti-aliasing for everyone rather than putting a little note in the XFree86 4.1 directory saying to use 4.2 instead or not use anti-aliasing in 4.1. Now, how about fixing this for those who AREN'T using 4.1? Huh? "Break it for everyone! Then they're all in the same nasty-looking boat!" Joe
