Check Gimp! There is a Print Screen even with a delay timer. -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org Info: http://www.knoppix.net

Try KSnapshot. It's in 8.2 and I think I recall it being in 8.0. Good luck. Gil

I don't know about kde, this is just a more general solution. There are 2 well known utilities to capture windows in X. The 2 I'm most familiar with are: import (from ImageMajick) and xwd read "man xwd" Both of these when run will turn the mouse cursor to a crossahairs, which you then click on the desired window. Click on the desktop for whole screenshot. Then you will hear a beep, and the file is saved. To connect these commands to the Print Screen button, the only thing I've seen is xbindkeys http://hocwp.free.fr/xbindkeys/xbindkeys.html -- I'm not really a human, but I play one on earth.
I just used the command "ksnapshot" without the quotes to obtain a snapshot of my desktop. best wishes, ram.

If you have ImageMagick installed open a console window and write:
import
