[opensuse] T510 Gotchas
I'm about to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad T510 w/ the switchable graphics (Optimus). Any hardware I should avoid (e.g., WiFi adapters, fingerprint reader, Bluetooth)? Any advice on make switching between the Intel integrated graphics and Nvidia discrete graphics easy? TIA, Jeffrey -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I am seriously considering purchase of a T510 as well and would be quite interested in what people like/dislike about running opensuse on this system. Anyone running the T510? No but looking at the specs it seems a decent box, some notes though: It ships with a Intel Core i5-560M Processor (2.66GHz, 3MB L3) processor that has the following features: AES-NI : openSUSE supports AES-NI in the kernel (great if you use encrypted filesystem, which you should ;) ) and software using the NSS crypto toolkit in 11.3, but not openSSH or any app using openSSL, this has been fixed in 11.4. TXT: There is no support for TXT in current openSUSE kernels, neither trusted boot (tboot) package is available, this has to be fixed at some point in the future. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
