There'll be an error message, possibly an email to root, that will give some information. Are you sure it didn't run or that it did run but didn't give the results expected? -- del suse-linux-e

It could be a problem with the script you're running, check root's mail for problems. Remember that the usual root enviornment is not the same as that when cron runs a job as root - some programs won't run without some tweaking. Also, it never hurts to restart the cron daemon whenever you make chages to the crontabs rccron restart sjb

It would help if you showed us the line in crontab that isn't working. Also, did you include the full path to the command you want to run? -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
