Evolution is demanding that I install an rpm of Mozilla >= 0.9.3. I usually don't install Moz RPMs but I'm willing to on this test box. No .. I didn't mean to sound like a moron when I wrote this..I'm just tired. *laugh* Get the Ximian pkgs...the work with Evolution. I am *testing* the 0.13 release at work..may be able to recommend it to our VP if it's worth a shit. Hope you get it to work. -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org cat CE|ME|NT|XP > /dev/null

Thanks for the info. For some bizarre reason (hey, it's late) I installed the redhat 7.x 0.9.3-1 rpms from ftp.mozilla.org, which of course installs everything /usr like any good RedHat rpms will. I Shoulda had the brains to use relocate, but it seems to be working, even with evolution, so I guess I'll leave it alone until 0.9.4 is out. Boy, Evolution looks... /pretty/ /slick/. And the person writing this is NOT fond of gnome/gtk ;-) "Purdy nice" for a beta app. Of course I say that without really testing it yet, only looking at it.

I did have the "email module" just take a crap on me when I was writing out a fairly long email. It lost the mail. I hope they fix that stuff. I submitted a bug report..so hope it gets attention. I hope it just looks like Outbreak and doesn't continue to preform like it. :) -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org cat CE|ME|NT|XP > /dev/null

Well, it's passed the first real test: I can use all 3 of my main email acounts. I did get this working recently in Kmail, but previous to that, one thing I couldn't seem to do with any GUI email app on Linux was use more then one pop account efficiently. Dude, GTK is UGLY. I sure with this was QT2. Oh well, maybe the Aethera monkeys will type on their keyboards faster now that this is out ;-) If this email actually gets to the list, we'll know it passed the 2nd test - sending Re:s :-) -- ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com
Well cool, it worked! Are these coming through as HTML emails? I hope not but they kinda look that way. Well, it's messing up my sig a little, that's the only real bad thing so far... besides having to behold gtk widgets ;-) How on earth do you make folders(i.e. more imboxes, suse as SuSE-Linux-E :-) )? I haven't messed with it that much yet. And no it doesn't do HTML by default..thank god. It may end up be a good product..and I agree. They should have a plugable interface..but since gnome/gtk walk hand in hand..I guess that's an issue that won't get fixed. I'm a Mutt user..have been for about the last 18 months..it suits me just fine. I'm using a self compiled 1.3.22.1i and it works flawlessly. *shrug* -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org cat CE|ME|NT|XP > /dev/null

LOTS SNIPPED Have not seen a response to this query yet, so the answer is to make a SuSE-Linux-E subfolder to your inbox. Right click on the Inbox and select New -> Folder and the type of folder should be -> Mail. While you are at it you can use Tools -> Add filter based on this message (or something like that) and evolution will help you set up a filter for the SuSE mailing list to move the mail to your new subfolder.
