Greets all. I have a webcam made by USR. It's the old Big Picture camera which isn't USB like the new cams. Instead it uses a video capture card made by Hauppauge Computer Works; it's the Brooktree Bt848. In any case, I thought the bttv driver would work with this card, for video capture purposes anyway. I don't remember which capture program I used (this was a month or so back), but all I got out of it was blue images. Has anyone out there successfully used this cam (or anything else that uses the Bt848) for video capturing? If not, does anyone have any ideas or thoughts that I most probably overlooked? Perhaps the driver code has some useful comments; will have to poke around there. I know that SANE is setup to do this, as well as GIMP.
