Yast2 only shows currently installed software after "source of installation" was changed
For convenience, I copied by DVD rom to a common Linux file server directory that is shared by 3 PCs running SuSE 8.1. This directory is nfs mounted on all 3 PCs. After I changed the "source of installation" from the DVD to the this mounted directory, YAST2 only shows the software that I already have installed; it does not offer any "new" packages to install. I have also tried to change the source of installation to "NFS" instead of "local directory", with the same results. As soon as I change the source of installation by to the DVD, the "new" choices show up again. How can I get YAST2 to recognize the installation source on my file server? Thanks.
i'm having the same problem with 2 differences. 1> i'm using text mode yast (ncurses) 2> i can't add even a single install source. it gives me the error: ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media) no matter what url i put in it. any solutions to this? ---------------------------------------------- Visit my Music Band's web site @ www.71worship.com
