[opensuse] Latest updates caused problems?
There were some updates [eg, KDE to 4.10.2] yesterday and today (my time) following which: 1. my Daily version (version 23.0a1) of Thunderbird no longer displays any messages (OK, I know that I am using Daily and not the 'standard' version so if it breaks I get to keep the pieces; I had to go back to a backup of .thunderbird which is several days old and use TB 17.05); 2. I now get an error message on boot - into 12.3 and 12.2 [as both have had the (?)same updates] - that something called "python script engine" is required but this is nowhere to be found; and 3. the "py" widget, which gets rid of the annoying "cashew" widget, doesn't get loaded because of the missing "python script engine". Is anyone else experiencing this sudden deteriotation of behaviour or know of how to overcome this problem? Many thanks for you effort, Patrick - your help came at a time when this gentleman has a massive tooth ache :-( . Why do they always come on a weekend when the dentist is unavailable? :'( But back to the above. That file is already installed so that is not the answer to the problem.
