I've been trying to figure out how this compose feature is supposed to work in SuSE 8.2. No matter what I try, I can't get it to work. I really don't understand how it is supposed to work. I don't know how to determine the type of mapping I want to be using. I don't know how to set up the .Xmodmap file to support this. I don't know what language I should have selected. I am using a rather generic Windows style US keyboard with a rather generic installation. I would like to use UTF8, but at this point, I will settle for anything that works. I tried putting this in my ~/.Xmodmap file, but it didn't seem to do anythig: remove Control = Super_R keysym Super_R = Multi_key add Control = Super_R This used to work, why did they "fix" it? I know some people have given suggestions, but I either didn't understand what I was told, or there is something else I need to do. Steven
