Hi everyone. After installing 7.3 on my Toshiba 5005 laptop, the touchpad didn't work, though it was OK during the installation. After emailing SuSE support, who couldn't suggest a solution, I found that if I replaced module uhci with usb-uhci, it was fine (I have since seen an article in on-line support saying that there are problems with the uhci module). So, I edited INITRD_MODULES in /etc/rc.config to include usb-uhci, usbcore, hid, input and mousedev. On booting, the touch pad still doesn't work, though all these modules are loaded. If I "rmmod usb-uhci" then immediately "modprobe usb-uhci" all is fine! Why is this?? I then added a USB printer - no problem, except that after YaST autodetects it, the touchpad stops working. So, again, if I unload, then load again, usb-uhci, everything works! I'm confused and would appreciate some advice about this: is the order of loading the modules wrong or how do I get around having to do this manually all the time? Thanks everyone David
