Huh? You mean ADSL modem of some sort? Internal to the system? because if it is external there should be no problem.......Are you using DHCP for the ISP? Regards, Jon On Mon, 7 May 2001, Frank Rocco wrote:

Actually its interesting to note that Mandrake 8 contains the kernel source drivers for the alcatel speedtouch usb which is the default here in the UK. these drivers are a right pain to configure. it would be nice if Suse could do the same imho dids

According to sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/ke_sdb-upfdate.html one should be able to give the command "rpm -U ftp://ftp.suse.com/suse_update/misc/sdb.rpm" and update the database. Unfortunately it's not there! Also, there is a link on that page that points to the directory "ftp://ftp.suse.com/suse_update/misc/" and when I click on it I get the following message: "The file or directory /suse_update/misc does not exist" Does anyone know if there's a way to update the local data base? Thanx in advance. Cheers. Curtis Rey

ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/noarch/sdb should answer your needs you can find the sdb.rpm and the sdb_LANAGUAGE.rpm there using a ftp mirror can speed up the download as well HTH -- Togan Muftuoglu
