SuSE 7.1 admin controls
Afternoon all, Sorry I am rather new to all this linux stuff, but I have done a full install but don't seem to have some of the commands I have under my RedHat box, for example Linuxconf Netconfig Im sure there are more but I cant think of them right now ! This is a fresh install of linux, during the setup I chose a lot of ham radio programs and I don't know where the would of installed. Sorry people I am realy new to this stuff :o) Regards Pete

Those are RedHat specific. The SuSE analogue is yast or yast2, try both of those. yast is still more comprehensive, but yast2 has a more visually appealing interface. I think once you get to use yast/yast2, you will really like them. You can also edit config files by hand and then run the /sbin/SuSEconfig script.

I beleive that these are RH specific utilties. SuSE uses YAST and YAST2. Regards Mark

If you know the package name then you can type:
rpm -ql
