[opensuse] How ro remove ruby?
I have both Ruby1.9 and Ruby2.0 installed I want to remove ruby2.0 but when I try, zypper wants to remove a whole pile of stuff including yast. Is there some way to tell zypper that ruby1.9 is adequate/ -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I don't believe so as 2.0 is require by quite a few packages now including yast. But I have no ruby 1.9 now on my 13.1 server or my Tw boxes. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Bummer! Some RoR packages need 1.9 or earlier. And RubyTk doesn't work with 2.0 In fact a lot of the RoR tools don't work happily with 2.0, or at least the openSuse version. With ubuntu they don't seem to work on 1.8 or 1.9 either. -- A: Yes.
