[opensuse] The latest gtk2 update of gtk2-2.12.0-5.4 breaks mysql query browser
I just filed this case: <https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=342755> Does anyone else experience the same? Cheers Sunny P.S. Content of the bug: Hi, after the last update of gtk2 breaks mysql query browser (mysql-query-browser-5.0r12-56). Downgrading to gtk2-2.12.0-5.2 solves the problem. Description of the problem and steps to reproduce: 1. install gtk2-2.12.0-5.4 2. start mysql query browser 3. connect to a database without specifying default catalog 4. after the connection is made - click on any catalog listed on the right hand side. Expected result: to open the catalog, changing the icon from (db sign) to an arrow, so one can open it and list the tables Actual result: freeze of the application. Have to be closed. If you replace step 3 with: 3. connect to a database, specifying a default catalog Expected result: the application to be started, and the selected catalog displayed Actual result: No user interface is opened at all. In the process list mysql query browser is listed as running. Reproduce how often: always. -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Sunny, FWIW, I updated Gnome here on 10.2, gained a 10.3 splash screen in the process :-) and was later prevented by the same conflict from installing mysql query browser. I'm currently at gtk2-2.12.0-6.1. regards, Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Who said that the update from one version to other is hard :) Btw, where from you get 2.12.0-6? In the update repo the latest I see for 10.3 is 2.12.0-4.

It's *almost* that easy, isn't it? :-)

The additional repositories I enabled for Gnome are: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/STABLE/openSUSE_10.2/ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Community/openSUSE_10.2/ I recall having to roll a couple of items back afterwards, though, so be prepared. regards, Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

OK, these are Build service repos, so it's not official yet :) I'll wait until it pops in the main update repo.
