Uhm..................Not sure that is correct. Spain being in a parallel universe may work that way but I doubt it. All the signals are present all the time. Each is on it's own frequency [ channel ]. The decoder box just tunes in the appropriate frequency that you want. Over the air, cable, satellite all work this way.
Yes, that used to be TV. What Carlos says is used for IP TV, here they call it interactive TV. Analog TV over the air is already switched off here, over cable it will follow shortly. Only thing left will be IP TV. BTW: here is in the Netherlands.

OOOFFFFFFF.................... We used to have a kind of saying here when someone was headed for trouble. Said, "You are cruisin' for a bruisin'." I live in a part of the country that has some of the most extreme weather possible. The highest winds ever recorded which were supposed to be impossible. The only place on the planet to ever have an "Inland Hurricane Event", also impossible. As examples. In extreme conditions cable, satellite, ip [ which I have two on my television ] can all go down for various lengths of time. Our local OTA channels are the only reliable source of information. The studios are designed to take direct hits from tornadoes, and have in the past, and stay on the air. Without that capability hundreds of lives would be lost here very year, as they are in other parts of the country that aren't as prepared as we are. As climate change continues things can and will, get rough. without multiple, prepared, sources of local information, well..........................your screwed -- In times of Tyranny and injustice when law oppresses the people, the outlaw takes his place in history. ~ · Robin Hood · 2010 · Screen Title

I live in Missouri USA. It doesn't take extreme weather to affect my satellite link. It can drop its connection if the cloud cover gets too dense; storms are not necessary. Leslie -- Platform: Linux Distribution: openSUSE Leap 15.4 (x86_64)
