[SuSE Linux] ISDN Offline
Hi, I'am running SUSE 5.3. Isdn is running well, accept when I'am online, the ISDN line goes offline without any reason. I have timeout 60 sec. but even when I downloading a file after a while the line goes offline. Does anyone know the problem here? Thanks for any help, suggestions. As soon as there is no more data flow on ippp?, the phoneline is cut. In your case, this should happen after one minute of inactivity. Try to increase that value, but keep in mind that your ISP might use the same thing: timeout if there is no data flow. shotest timeout wins in that case. ;-( The reason for your problem can be: - you got your file d/l, there is no more to follow and the card hangs up. - the connection is that bad, that you won't receive data for the timeout period - ISP's timeout is to short - Your timeout is to short (check the minute, it should be OK) - something *realy* rotten Juergen -- ========================================== __ _ Juergen Braukmann mail: brauki@cityweb.de| -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Tel: 0201-743648 dk4jb@db0qs.#nrw.deu.eu| /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ==========================================_\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
