[opensuse] leap 15.0, latest iso build 258.1, missing packages? no ddclient? no squid whatsoever?
Hi there, just briefly installed 258.1 build of leap 15.0 that is the latest now that we have a release (but then again what about that ship-stopper bug with resolvconf dns resolution at upgrade 42.3 to 15.0 scenario) and during install i wanted to select additional packages, and ddclient nor squid as search strings showed up any results at all. does this really mean leap 15 is lacking these packages and mis-unfortunately maybe lot of other stuff just as well when compared to previous leaps and opensuse editions? too bad. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.0/repo/oss/x86_64/squid-4.... I do not see ddclient in 42.3 either.

ddclient is often easy to replace by a wget. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.9°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

too bad. And you bring this up now? Leap 15.0 has been declared done, finished. FWIW was this DVD only, or did you include the online repos?

I don't remember that one - bug# ? There isn't really much that can go wrong with /etc/resolv.conf.

Um, looking in the repos, I see: distribution/leap/15.0/repo/oss/noarch/ddclient-3.8.3-lp150.1.4.noarch.rpm distribution/leap/15.0/repo/oss/x86_64/squid-4.0.23-lp150.3.20.x86_64.rpm -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Same here for ddclient. Installed and running on Leap 15 Maybe its just not on the DVD. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Probably, and a DVD installation might not automatically enable the repos? Dunno. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (15.1°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
