[SuSE Linux] Xanim and PS printing troubles
No, the two problems are not related, but I decided to include both questions here :-) First of all, has anyone gotten xanim to recompile with the additional modules? After fxing a couple of lnkng problems, have run into the following errors: xa1.0_cyuv_linuxELF.o: In function `CYUV_What_Rev_API': xa1.0_cyuv_linuxELF.o(.text+0x0): multiple definition of `CYUV_What_Rev_API' xa1.0_cyuv_linuxELF.o(.text+0x0): first defined here xa1.0_cyuv_linuxELF.o: In function `CYUV_Codec_Query': xa1.0_cyuv_linuxELF.o(.text+0x10): multiple definition of `CYUV_Codec_Query' xa1.0_cyuv_linuxELF.o(.text+0x10): first defined here xa_avi.o(.data+0x4): undefined reference to `Indeo_Codec_Query' xa_qt.o(.data+0x0): undefined reference to `Indeo_Codec_Query' make: *** [xanim] Error 1 Has anyone seen this before? I'd appreciate any help. My second problem is printing PostScript on an HP LaserJet 1100. I have a document that has four pages compressed onto one page and uses a landscape orientation. When I send it to lpr, though, it tries to print it in portrait mode, cuttng off half of the page. It seems to print fine on the Solaris machines on an HP LaserJet 5si in the labs... Is there some sort of option that I should use to force landscape printing? Thanks in advance! -Chris -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GCS/CC/MC d- s+:+ a-- C++ US P L++ E W++ N- o? Quite a few people have succesfully compiled it. There seems to be 2 common pitfalls. 1. You didn't edit the Makefile properly according to the instructions. I can email you a good makefile to use or look at. 2. Alot of people had trouble downloading those modules. I can't remember the exact detail but it had something to do with not unpacking properly. Check the modules with an editor, don't trust the .o extension, make sure they are unpacked. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
