Just redoing my Linux box, sound cards working ok (playing mp3s) but when I try to mount a music CD I get an error which reads. mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc or to many mounted file systems What could this mean?? You don't (can't?) mount a Audio "Music" CD-ROM, it just doesn't work. If you want to play the CD-ROM though your sound card use something like workbone for the command line or kcdplayer for X windows system. Check out http://www.freshmeat.net and do a search for "cd player" you get about 100 programs that can do this for ya. I have never be able to mount audio CD, just use workbone to play them. If you get this on a data cd, then there is a problem somewhere.
