I am not sure about "perfectbackup", but You do not have to mount floppy. Use it as a device. You can do this for example: # cd / # tar -cvf /dev/fd0 . --> backs up every single file on the system (provided all the file systems are mounted) Or you can run # tar -cvf /dev/fd0 /etc --> to backup just /etc This will automatically prompt you for the next volume (diskette). :-) alexm - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
