How do I mute a sound source?
Hello all. I have found a program that does just about all that I want it to do for recording radio to my HD on Linux. KHdRecord at http://software.jodda.de/ . It seems to be a nice program so far. Now to my question. How can I mute specific sound sources on Linux? Such as if I want to record through my Microphone but I want to play a game, or listen to MP3's etc... without hearing the input from the Microphone? I know that in M$ WinDOS I can just click on the mute button for the Micophone or turn the volume all the way down. Also. Is there a way to control the volumes of seperate sound input sources? If needed I have a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live and am using SuSE 7.3 Professional. Thank you, James Ruhsam Tampa, Fla. usA
Use alsamixer in an xterm to do this or you can use kmix if you use KDE. * JR (jruhsam@tampabay.rr.com) [020212 19:01]: ->Hello all. -> ->I have found a program that does just about all that I want it to do for recording radio to my HD on Linux.
