Suse 7.1 kernel 2.4.17 kde 2.2.2 qt 2.3.2-92 I would like to upgrade to the latest kwintv. After downloading kwintv-0.8.5.tar.gz I tried both ./configure and rpm -ta kwintv-0.8.5.tar.gz. Both failed to detect my qt version. Can anyone suggest a fix ? Suse 7.1 kernel 2.4.17 kde 2.2.2 qt 2.3.2-92 Thanks -configure proceeded ok. Make is now showing the error below. It seems to hinge on the "include" directory. On my system I have /usr/lib/qt-2.3.1/include. There does not seem to be any include for qt-2.3.2. I don't know if this will make a difference. Do you have the -devel packages installed? You will need them to compile things. qt-devel (perhaps it's called qt2-devel on 7.1) has the header files and a few other things you'll need. You'll also need the various kde -devel packages. Anders

Oops. I just noticed this. You'll need QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt2 KDEDIR=/opt/kde2 ./configure plus, as I mentioned, all the various -devel packages Anders
Hmmmmmmm, I have tried a few things including downloading qt3-devel. Unfortunately make still has errors. I may need other devel packages. All the kde packages that I can see are kde3 now. It could be a case of waiting until I get 8.0. Thanks Brian Marr On Saturday 27 April 2002 09:04, you wrote:
