Web-based SETI@Home status monitor...?

Greetings! I currently run the SETI@home client in text-only on my file server since the box is not configured for a xserver. I would like to be able to see the status of the client working like you can do with the xserver screen saver. Preferably, a web-based status monitor that could be run from Apache. Has something like that been done? Thanks! Christopher Reimer

Hi Chris, this is a small perl script that will produce the result you want: ------------------------- #!/usr/bin/perl use CGI ':standard'; print header(); print start_html(); open (SETI, 'http://localhost/cgi-bin/seti.cgi and you should get the current progress of the unit. I found it necessary to change the group of the seti user to nogroup and allow read and execute access for that group to the relevant directory and files. regards Steve P.S. I'm only just starting to learn Perl, so if anyone can do it better, let me know, thanks. Christopher D. Reimer" wrote:
