Ok, I have d/loaded firefox. I have unzipped it. I have tarred it. I now have a bunch of files - none of which twll me what to do next. There is no install, no make, no readme. The closet thing that might be of use is a file that is named: run-mozilla.sh - but I sure can not get it to do anything. I have looked thru other docs for use of a sh or a run-x and find nothing. help. Thanks for your patience __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Yahoo! Ok,
If you are running SuSE 9.1, you can install it with YaST. On older versions you should be able to install it with apt. See http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ The packages are available for download here if you don't want to use apt: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/ HTH -- Andre Truter | Software Engineer | Registered Linux user #185282 ICQ #40935899 | AIM: trusoftzaf | http://www.trusoft.co.za ~ A dinosaur is a salamander designed to Mil Spec ~
firefox is the file you want. There is no further installation required.

I've placed the firefox directory in /usr/local and "ln -s /usr/local/firefox/firefox /usr/local/bin/", then from a terminal "firefox &"or you can setup a desktop icon to execute it. Likewise for thunderbird. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer Linux Only Shop.
I have installed it in /opt. The path the is /opt/firefox/firefox. The last firefox is the binary for running firefox. ls -al firefox -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 2733 Feb 7 14:24 firefox HTH -- Med venlig hilsen - Best regards Erik Jakobsen - eja@urbakken.dk SuSE Linux 9.1 Proff.
