Hello Mates, i've done today an update (I know Never change...). But now i'm getting: sascha@linux-uhd2:~> lyx terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc Has anyone seen a issue similar that this? -- Sincerely yours Sascha Manns open-slx GmbH openSUSE Community & Support Agent openSUSE Marketing Team Blog: http://saigkill.wordpress.com Web: http://www.open-slx.de (openSUSE Box Support German) Web: http://www.open-slx.com (openSUSE Box Support English)

Update or upgrade? Update of what, which components/ packages? Upgrade from which openSUSE(?) version to which version?
But now i'm getting: sascha@linux-uhd2:~> lyx terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc
Has anyone seen a issue similar that this?
No, lyx works well here. On which OS? I don't share this information. ;) It works well on openSUSE 11.3 x86_64 with all currently available updates installed. Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany

Update or upgrade? Update.
Update of what, which components/ packages? 11.3 with KDE Factory and Playground Repositories. IIRC the most Packages was a update from boost/libboost Packages.
Upgrade from which openSUSE(?) version to which version? 11.3 to last available
But now i'm getting: sascha@linux-uhd2:~> lyx terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'

No, lyx works well here. I have just done a backtrce:

If that doesn't fix the issue revert the other packages changed by the usage of the "KDE Factory and Playground Repositories". Step by step to know which component/ library causes the trouble. If that doesn't fix the issue revert the other packages changed by the usage of the "KDE Factory and Playground Repositories". Hi Lars. The Solution was to downgrade lyx. Now it runs perfectly :-)
