I'm running ULB's Evolution and I'd like to make the font smaller. I'm running it in KDE. Do I change the KDE font or run gnome-control-center? Thanks, Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
You have to use the gnome-settins-daemon and when that's running you can use the Gnome2 control Center to change the fonts and other such things an have them stick while in KDE. Check out the archives of this list for instructions. * Tom Nielsen (tom@neuro-logic.com) [030922 09:12]:

Funny thing about this, everything was fine until I logged out of KDE and back in, then my fonts appeared larger. This seems to happen to me all the time...the only way to tell what's correct is to log out and back in. Does this make sense?

Yes, you need to have gnome-settings-daemon running while you're in KDE. Either add it to your autostart folder, or install the updated control-center2 package from my site (Misc Stuff section) -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2).
