RPM shows that ncurses-5.2-262 is installed, but when I try to configure the kernel source with "make menuconfig", it complains that it can't find ncurses. "make xconfig" works fine, I'm compiling as we speak. Where should I look to find the problem? Look in /lib and see what you have for libncurses. For instance if you have libncurses.so.5.2 make a symlink to it so you have libncurses.so.5 and even a symlink for libncurses.so pointing to it. Some programs are fussy, and they won't search for a usable alternative. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
i think you need ncurses-devel installed too, god knows why. Ewan On Sat, 2002-07-06 at 19:10, Glenn Holmer wrote:
