[opensuse] Smart keep local RPM repo
Is there a way to tell Smart to keep all the RPMs downloaded on my local drive? I have couple of machines to update and limited Internet access - would like to only run online update once and then all the other machines from a local repo. Or does Smart keep the RPMs somewhere on my drive already? You must try it - it feels so clean and to the point. E-Mail disclaimer: http://www.sunspace.co.za/emaildisclaimer.htm -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Running the following as root: smart config --set remove-packages=false will retain downloaded packages in /var/lib/smart/packages. Note that "--set" is "two hyphens+set". Note that this command will not work if the Smart GUI is open, so close it first. Regarding signatures, import the GPG key Pascal uses to sign his RPMs. Run the following as root: rpm --import http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/guru-rpm.asc -- Pob hwyl / Best wishes Kevin Donnelly www.kyfieithu.co.uk - KDE yn Gymraeg www.eurfa.org.uk - Geiriadur rhydd i'r Gymraeg www.rhedadur.org.uk - Rhedeg berfau Cymraeg www.cymrux.org.uk - Linux Cymraeg ar un CD -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks, will put in a request for a GUI tick box for the option. Think its useful enough. E-Mail disclaimer: http://www.sunspace.co.za/emaildisclaimer.htm -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
