Yes this is the normal way of doing it and it worked fine in all versions of SuSE until I got to 10.3. Even trying to compact all folders and deleting the read mail will not delete the wastebin. Hi all, I have found that if I have read all the emails then the wastebin will be emptied all bar one or two mails.
