Documentation Sources ??
Does anyone know where someone could access the (docbook??) sources for the Suse Linux User and Administrator guides ? The sources available on the mirrors are only the PDF and HTML versions of the guide (and desktop shortcuts to them) and not the original XML sources. Thanks, Mike Petersen mgpeter@pcc-services.com

For things like this I use `pin`. pin docbook: pin 0.29 - package info for docbook ------------------------------------------------------------------ *** no rpm named docbook installed ------------------------------------------------------------------ maybe just a typo? what about this: docbook_4-4.2-524 docbook-toys-1.51.0-263 docbook-dsssl-stylesheets-1.78-192 docbook-xsl-stylesheets-1.64.1-71 docbook_3-3.1-594 maybe better restart with another option? grepping anyway ... ------------------------------------------------------------------ *** zgrep docbook /var/lib/pin/ARCHIVES.10.0-0.gz ------------------------------------------------------------------ ---> ./CD2/suse/noarch/docbook_4-4.4-6.noarch.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/i586/docbook2x-0.8.5-5.i586.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/noarch/docbook_3-3.1-599.noarch.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/noarch/docbook-dsssl-stylesheets-1.79-5.noarch.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/noarch/docbook-toys-1.51.0-269.noarch.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/noarch/docbook-utils-0.6.14-69.noarch.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/noarch/docbook-xml-website-2.5.0-52.noarch.rpm ---> ./CD5/suse/noarch/docbook-xsl-stylesheets-1.69.0-2.noarch.rpm houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

The XML Docbook sources of the SUSE Linux User and Administration guides aren't on the CD/DVDs or in the ftp trees. Please file a bugreport, to get this on the radar of the documentation department. (Actually I'm pretty sure that they are reading this, so why don't you guys and girls just answer? ;)) Regards Christoph

I did not really inspect it in-deep, but I would guess that /pub/people/ke/ does hold it somewhat deeper. Karl? Cheers -e -- Eberhard Moenkeberg (emoenke@gwdg.de, em@kki.org)

The whether is rainy and we are reading books and eating apples ;) Expect us to publish the XML files sometime soon.

No, ATM there are only asorted SGML and XML components. -- Karl Eichwalder R & D / Documentation SUSE Linux Products GmbH Key fingerprint = B2A3 AF2F CFC8 40B1 67EA 475A 5903 A21B 06EB 882E
