[SuSE Linux] Masquerade and Firewall
Hi all, I masqueraded my Linux PC. Do I have to protect my Linux PC with firewall too, or is masquerade enough protection for connection to the Internet? In what way can I test my system is secure enough from possible attacks from outsite, in my case Internet? Any comments or suggestions wellcome. As I understand it, masquerading does nothing to interfere with the machine it is on. It only masquerades/hides the other machines. So your Linux PC is as vunerable as it would have been without masquerading. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
