My Idea will be DON t use SAX but XFSetup for me sax is bugging all the time with XFSetup I just picked emulae 3 buttons et voila.

Only problem the video is resetted to 8 bpp when I leave XFSetup so to workaround this :

say reconfig Yes when you launch XFSetup - Do your config - Set the favorite video mode - Quit with saving

and You 'll be fine

in XFSetup I had chosen "Microsoft Natural Keyboard" which was foolish because this is the keyboard I have :) If I choose generic 105 key (not 104 ) with frenchlayout it WORKS

My mouse is the same way, I have a 2 button serial mouse but need to tell SAX it is 3 button.
