ADSL Router problems - Fixed...
Dear All, at the beginning of this week I sent in a few emails on problems I was having with my Linux box connecting to the internet via an ADSL router. After help from Pieter and others I narrowed down the problem, and came to the conclusion it was 'The Firewall That Wouldn't Die!'. As I'd recently received SuSE 9.0 I decided that I'd _hopefully_ kill two birds with one stone and upgrade the OS and fix the access problem last night. So I installed a new, big hard drive and then the OS, which detected and connected successfully to the internet during the installation process. I can now return to using KMail as my preferred email client, Firebird on Linux as my favourite browser and Emacs for just about everything else. Thanks for all the help I was given. It saved me a lot of ripping my hair out. The KVM is still playing up, but I think I'm making progress with that one too... :o) Cheers Richard
