Please stop using ide-scsi, it's broken at best. -`J' -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
how do you remove the ide-scsi?
I wonder why you _load_ it, in the first place. And stop top posting.

On one install of openSUSE 10.2 beta 2 or 3, on one of my machines the ide-scsi automatically loaded. I had no control over it. When I wiped and reloaded that machine with openSUSE 10.2 GM it was back to 'normal' ide. I doubt the OP deliberately chose ide-scsi. Have not thought through all the steps on how to fix it. Will the data be safe on the devices and partitions if we somehow get the right device driver loaded and /etc/fstab altered?
