Is SuSE going to run on this beast?!

it already does, has for a few months now. i read that story last night and wondered what theregister were on about, you've been able to buy a "linux ready" p630 (that is, one which doesn't ship with aix) for a few weeks now, and a p630 has been available since september-ish, and would run linux from the start if you cared to try. suse is the only linux currently supported on the pSeries machines, redhat will be joining them shortly. if you want to see a beast of a linux machine, try a p690 with 32cpus, which can happily run anywhere from 1 to 15 independant copies of suse linux on it simultaneously.
