A new Linux user, Has anyone already used an HP SCANJET 4c with Linux ? If so, what are the drivers and the applications ? (I use S.u.S.E Linux 5.2) Thanks, Christophe, France. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

I use an HP 4p scanner. I use it with sane v.73 and gimp. If you go to the sane website, the tutorial tells you how to set it up. It worked for me, although I am using an Adaptec 2940 for my SCSI interface. I took a look at XVScan which is made for HP scanners. It costs $50, but it looks pretty nice. I haven't decided whether to get it or not. Steve - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
