[opensuse] 10.0, azureus and undefined symbol: gnome_icon_theme_new
Hi, I have 10.2 x64, with the latest azureus packages from packman. When it starts, it opens the main window and immediately closes. In the log file I find: /usr/lib64/jvm/jre/bin/java: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/Azureus/libswt-gnome-gtk-3346.so: undefined symbol: gnome_icon_theme_new So, any idea what else I should install? What lib provides that symbol? Cheers -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It comes from libgnomeui.

Thanks JR, I have this lib installed, but looks like it is not referenced in libswt-gnome-gtk-3346.so, i.e. at least ldd output does not show it. Any other idea? -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

What version of libgnomeui do you have? My guess is Java is dlopen'ing
the libraries rather than linking so that the package manager isn't able
to solve the issue.

It is libgnomeui-2.12.0-30. I do not know about dlopening, etc., but that is the output of ldd libswt-gnome-gtk-3346.so libgnomevfs-2.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libgnomevfs-2.so.0 (0x00002aaaaabd5000) libc.so.6 => /lib64/tls/libc.so.6 (0x00002aaaaad4a000) libgobject-2.0.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libgobject-2.0.so.0 (0x00002aaaaaf75000) libgconf-2.so.4 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libgconf-2.so.4 (0x00002aaaab0b6000) libbonobo-2.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libbonobo-2.so.0 (0x00002aaaab1f4000) libbonobo-activation.so.4 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libbonobo-activation.so.4 (0x00002aaaab367000) libORBit-2.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libORBit-2.so.0 (0x00002aaaab480000) libgmodule-2.0.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libgmodule-2.0.so.0 (0x00002aaaab5ee000) libgthread-2.0.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libgthread-2.0.so.0 (0x00002aaaab6f1000) libglib-2.0.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 (0x00002aaaab7f5000) libxml2.so.2 => /usr/lib64/libxml2.so.2 (0x00002aaaab98a000) libz.so.1 => /lib64/libz.so.1 (0x00002aaaabbc6000) libm.so.6 => /lib64/tls/libm.so.6 (0x00002aaaabcdb000) libssl.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.7 (0x00002aaaabe33000) libcrypto.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 (0x00002aaaabf69000) libdl.so.2 => /lib64/libdl.so.2 (0x00002aaaac1a1000) libdns_sd.so => /usr/lib64/libdns_sd.so (0x00002aaaac2a5000) libresolv.so.2 => /lib64/libresolv.so.2 (0x00002aaaac3aa000) librt.so.1 => /lib64/tls/librt.so.1 (0x00002aaaac4be000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib64/tls/libpthread.so.0 (0x00002aaaac5c7000) /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x0000555555554000) libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib64/libORBitCosNaming-2.so.0 (0x00002aaaac6dc000) libpopt.so.0 => /usr/lib64/libpopt.so.0 (0x00002aaaac7e3000) Thanks -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
